Dr. Key Meets Federal

Woodbridge, CT - Jonathan J. Key, DPM, utilizes an electronic health record (EHR), Ingenix CareTracker, in his practice. Dr. Key wanted to take advantage of the federal health IT incentives established by the American Recovery Best Replica Watches and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 and became one of the first physicians in Connecticut to successfully meet the guidelines of Meaningful Use in June 2011. In order to meet Meaningful Use, physicians must demonstrate Meaningful Use of the technology as defined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Meeting the guidelines set forth by the ARRA is extremely challenging but achievable. The CareTracker EHR allows Dr. Key to track progress towards meeting the guidelines of Meaningful Use. The program streamlines information about clinical and practice management decision-making. Ultimately, cartier replica the electronic health record improves patient care.

Meaningful Use guidelines require physicians meet 15 Core objectives, and 5 out of 10 Menu-set objectives. For example, Meaningful Use rules require eligible physicians to maintain active medication allergy lists for their patients, record patient smoking status, provide patients with electronic copies of their health information, and be able to report ambulatory clinical quality measures to the CMS,led lighting wholesale or to states or other authorized entities.
